Clairefontaine Pastelmat Mountboard - 50x70cm - 1.8mm - 1100gsm - 5 Sheets

Description

• Clairefontaine Pastelmat Mountboard is a heavyweight pastel surface supplied as a pack of 5 rigid boards, sized 50x70 cm and manufactured at 1.8mm thickness with a weight of approximately 1100gsm.
• The unique Pastelmat surface grips pigment exceptionally well, allowing artists to build multiple layers of pastel without saturation and without needing fixative between layers.
• With a texture coarser than velour yet softer than sandpaper, Pastelmat delivers strong control while remaining comfortable to work on.
• The paper retains its original properties when erased or worked wet, supporting techniques using water or alcohol without affecting texture or surface strength.
• Acid free and pH neutral, the sheets are suitable for archival-quality artwork and long-term preservation.
